We are currently hiring for the position of Merchandiser (Woven) at our HQ, in the heart of Dhaka. Join our family and build an inspired career you`re proud of.

The Merchandiser holds the accountability for working closely with the buyer & the supplier managing respective accounts from product development and sampling stage till shipment ensuring seamless execution of daily task and timely dispatch in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities

Independently execute woven product development, understand latest fashion trends, source new fabric & develop customer collect.

Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.

Continuously update the fabrics, trims, print embroideries, washes and stitch library including technical data and price idea for easy reference.

Understand customer requirements and closely work with design team to manage the correct samples within time and quality.

Ensure product and production and samples follow up with factories and related procedures.

Communicate with buyers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.

Source trims, accessories, and fabrics (both overseas and local).

Prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns from factories.

Arrange lab dip, trims, bulk fabric color, and quality testing for customer approval

Work closely with the fabric mills and suppliers ahead of design packs to develop new fabrics and finishes to reduce lead time

Understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization.

Educational Requirements

Graduate in Textile Manufacturing / Apparel Merchandising from a well reputed institute

Experience Requirements

At least 4 year(s)

Additional Requirements

Age 25 to 35 years

At least 4 years' merchandising experience in a reputed buying office or factory in Knit category

Must be knowledgeable of garments construction and costing, specifically Woven fabric properties, fabric printing, and surface applications (e.g., heat transfer, embroideries, screen-printing), Kids wear product safety and integrity

Must have extensive experience of product development, sourcing of materials, costing, production tracking and execution of orders independently

Profound knowledge of Knit garment engineering and production processes is required

Have sound knowledge of fabrics and an excellent network of fabric, print, embroidery & trims suppliers

Should have a passion for product development, an eye for styles/ details and fits.

Must be capable to handle buyers independently in tremendous pressure with aggressive marketing attitude

Good understanding of core business aspects

Should have ideas about effective communication for raw materials booking and delivery

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships and work as a team.

Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic

Strong presentation and delivery skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection

Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English.
