What is the First Mobile Phone in Bangladesh?

When was the first mobile phone launched in Bangladesh? Mobile phones were first introduced in April 1993. Hutchison Bangladesh Telecom Limited (HBTL) launches mobile phone service in Dhaka city using AMPS mobile technology.

At present there are 4 mobile phone companies in Bangladesh. Of these, 4 are GSMs but one is CDMA technology with mobile service but now it is closed. Of these, all GSM mobile companies have started offering third generation 3G services since 2013. Teletalk is the only domestic company among the mobile operators. At present Robi and Airtel are working together to become Robi. Mobile numbers in the country start with 01. Number with country code is +601 ***. A total of 11 digit number system without country code is now in operation. The mobile companies are:
